Lovesick Crystal Extravaganza Costume

Tearose silk corset, with wide lace applique, and many, many gross of crystals, was created for burlesque performer Miss Mitzy Cream. It is very difficult to capture in the photo, but the design of the patterns in the lace were heavily embellished with tiny jet crystals:

A plain strapless bra(purchased from La Senza) was also embellished with lace detail and many, many crystals:

There was also a matching silk and lace skirt(not documented, ooops!). The ensemble was rounded off with an ensemble from Trashy Lingerie, in Los Angeles, which was modified with jet crystals painstakingly applied to each tiny polka dot and the existing lace applique. 

If you see Miss Mitzy Cream performing in this, tell her to send a nice video of the act and some stills !

Several clear plastic accessories were used in the shoot including the bust sling, high waisted bottoms, bra, and chantilly lace cincher. The silver cincher and skeleton corsets in ivory and pewter patent leather make an appearance, too !

Lovesick Bras in Spring 2011 "Dress To Kill" magazine

A couple of Lovesick retro style bras appear in the editorial "Double Vision", styled by Nadia Pizzimenti

 and shot by Lily and Lilac. You can see the assertive shape of the heavyweight black vinyl bra below !

The model below is wearing a black silk organza bra, with exterior details. I guess it may have been a little sheer so the nipples are safely under wraps (literally).

Lovesick Burlesque Costume is accidently Fashion !

Sauci Calla Horra from the legendary Toronto Burlesque Troupe Skin Tight Outta Sight approached Lovesick Corrective Apparel to build her a very special costume for their Valentine's Day production. The Valentine's extravaganza is loosely based on the book Voluptuous Panic, about Weimar Berlin, with lots of cynical decadence. Sauci brought sketches and notes, and this is what was created:

A black velveteen bolero and skirt, trimmed with black human hair, worn over a pink satin corset that sparkled with thousands of pink and AB crystals

The skirt holds a surprise, though. When it was removed, the meaning of its pink satin innards was unmistakably revealed !

The rest of the ensemble was modified department store lingerie, with perverse conversions such as snap off heart shaped crystal encrusted nipple covers and tear away sides of the panties.

It was a confusing moment, however, when not one but two designers had their runway shows for Fall/Winter 2012 and showed black skirts that appeared to be trimmed with black human hair !

Skin Tight Outta Sight are greater visionaries that I had imagined ! I was just the conduit for this design -- it was conceived by Sauci Calla Horra and Tanya Cheex.
